Dark Souls Gwynevere’s lore and covenant are covered in our guide, so you’ll know why she’s so unique.
Despite its impressive combat, incredible world design, and intricate lore, Dark Souls remains a generation-defining title because of characters like Dark Souls Gwynevere. Even though some of the people of Lordran aren’t what they seem, the lore is so impressive because the people who live there are so healthy-minded.
Even though she’s one of the essential characters in Dark Souls, Gwynevere has more to offer than meets the eye. Thus, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to make sure you know who she is, where she can be found (though you’re unlikely to miss her), and how she fits into your Lordran adventure.
After reading this, make sure you read our Dark Souls Gwyndolin and Dark Souls Gwyn guides, as some of what we’re about to say applies to her younger brother and father. When you’re stuck fighting Dark Souls bosses, get some helpful tips.
Gwynevere is one of the characters in Dark Souls. Read on for all the details.
In Dark Souls, what role does Gwynevere play?
A daughter of Gwyn, the first Lord of Cinder and Lord of Sunlight, Gwynevere is the only child of Gwyn. Gwyndolin’s sister and the firstborn son of the nameless are thus related. Due to her older brother’s shameful behavior, after he helped the Ancient Dragons and Gwyn’s scandalous attitude toward his youngest child, Gwynevere is her father’s favorite child.
Let’s talk about Gwynevere’s role in Dark Souls instead of her earlier years.
In Dark Souls, where is Gwynevere located?
There is no way to miss her. Thus, she is the one who gives you the lord vessel, which is essential to advance in the game (and to travel quickly to bonfires in Dark Souls). She is located behind the arenas for Ornstein and Smough bosses. As soon as you speak with her, the lord vessel will be given to you.
When you hit Gwynevere, however, she reveals herself as an illusion. Gwyndolin suddenly declares Anor Londo’s enemies in a loud voice. Among Anor Londo’s deities, the Dark Sun remains the only one. Gwynevere left a long time ago. Because Gwyn’s youngest child manipulates you with his sister’s illusion, you get the item you need to complete your journey in Lordran.
What does the Princess Guard covenant mean?
Even though she’s an illusion, Gwynevere owns the Dark Souls covenant. Players in this group can heal one another through cooperative play, which rewards them with soothing sunlight and bountiful sunlight miracles.
If you kill Gwynevere, you will no longer be able to be part of this covenant, and you will be at the mercy of the Blade of the Dark Moon covenant.
